Cathy is an experienced Clinical Counsellor who works with adults and couples.

Offering individual Counselling for people who are experiencing:

In Individual Counselling, Cathy uses an Integrative Approach that involves assessment, identifying your unique needs and together developing goals and a plan for treatment. Cathy draws on a variety of evidence- based theories and techniques depending on your needs and preferences from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and various Bereavement, Crisis, and Trauma Counselling models.

In Couples Counselling, Cathy draws on techniques from Acceptance Commitment Therapy for Couples (ACT), Gottman’s Sound Marital House Theory, Solution Focused and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) depending on the needs of the couple. She is a registered provider of the Prepare Enrich program.

Cathy is SIRA Workcover approved for those accessing Counselling under Workers Compensation and is also available for Counselling via Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) where the employer is invoiced following sessions (with prior approval). Health fund rebates may be available depending on level of cover with Medibank Private, BUPA, HCF, Police Health, Emergency Services Health, Phoenix Health, St Lukes Health, CUA and AHM.

Cathy is competent in appropriately integrating faith with Counselling for Christian clients as well as sensitively incorporating individual cultural and faith values for all clients.

Offering face to face or telehealth sessions using a range of platform options to those clients who live further away, need to be home with children, have mobility restrictions, live in remote areas or interstate

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and NDIS (check your plan can fund a private Counsellor):
Email approval required and employer or NDIS provider is invoiced directly at the above rates.

Workers Compensation: as per SIRA fee schedule invoiced to the insurer. Email approval required from insurer case manager for initial assessment and up to 2 additional sessions then AHRR will be submitted requesting additional sessions. Insurance company invoiced directly.

Letters and Reports: POA

Fees paid by EFTPOS machine at the conclusion of the session or by EFT on the same day for telehealth.
